At this time, the Governing Council (GC) of RJBA has received a letter from the Public Education Department indicating that our appeal of the denial of our charter will not be heard. The GC is pursuing other legal means to keep the school open. It is important that each family pursue enrollment at a different school for next year in case the legal means do not work and RJBA closes. If RJBA remains open, families will just not enroll at a different school in the fall. To help you find a school that meets the needs of your child, we have put together a list of charter schools in the Albuquerque area. It will be available in the office or click on the link below:

We assure you that we are here for you and your children, no matter what the final outcome might be, until the end of this school year. If you have any questions or concerns, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 505-292-0100.
Family Literacy Training
Our 1st and 2nd grade teacher Ms Smith is continuing to offer training for parents and students each Tuesday, except during vacations to help parents with resources and information they need to become reading experts. Join us for learning and fun! The schedule is on the front door and has been sent home with students.
SBA TESTING COMPLETED
We have finished SBA testing and want to say thank you to everyone. The students did a wonderful job on the exams. We are all so proud of them and their hard work and concentration. A big thank you to one of our parents, Ms. Perla Sanchez, who helped put together the treat bags. Also, we want to thank you, the parents, who made sure to have the children at school, on time, and ready to test! This was a group effort and we could not have completed testing without all of the pieces of the puzzle.
